Recently, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India’s Rajasthan state announced a significant investment collaboration by signing a memorandum aimed at developing renewable energy projects with a total installed capacity of 60GW.
According to the memorandum, the project will be officially launched ahead of the upcoming “Revitalize Rajasthan” investment summit, encompassing the construction of solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects. The preferred location for the projects is in western Rajasthan, with a total investment of approximately 3 trillion rupees (around 36 billion USD). This initiative is a key part of the extensive investment cooperation between the UAE and India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
This partnership will not only significantly enhance Rajasthan’s renewable energy capacity but also serve as a crucial force in helping India achieve its broader clean energy goals. Although the official statement did not disclose further details, the UAE’s Ministry of Investment indicated that it would appoint suitable developers to implement this landmark project and closely collaborate with relevant Indian authorities to ensure smooth progress.
This collaboration highlights the UAE’s commitment to the Indian renewable energy market and reflects the Indian government’s firm determination to promote clean energy development.
