Polysilicon leading producer TBEA held the annual performance presentation on Wednesday to review the operation situation in 2021.
The company stated that their polysilicon products have reached the electronic level, which, however, are mainly used in the photovoltaic field. It also observed little impact on current operation by the relevant sanctions imposed by the United States on the alleged force labor accusation, nor the company planned to relocate its headquarters.
The layout of industrial silicon ensures the safety of polysilicon industrial chain. TBEA is currently in the early stage of planning, design and obtaining project approval, according to the company.
Meanwhile, it also gave a brief introduction to its capacity. The current annual polycrystalline silicon production capacity is 66,000 tons. After the completion of Xinjiang technological transformation project in this month, the annual capacity in Xinjiang will reach 100,000 tons.
Together with the on-going annual 10 tons in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the subsequent operation starting in Zhundong area in Xinjiang from 2023 to 2024, when the capacity of the company will reach 400,000 tons.
The price of polysilicon is mainly affected by the supply-demand, thus the company expects a high price due to a tight balance this year.
