Pollution control giant to build 24GW TOPCon solar cell fab

Suzhou Shijing Technology, a China-based pollution control service provider, announced on Monday its plan to invest up to RMB 11.2 billion in the construction of a 24 GW n-type TOPCon solar cell manufacturing facility.

The facility will be built in two phases in Ningguo, a city in China’s Anhui province. The first phase of 18 GW production capacity will start construction in April 2023 and commence operation in November.

Shijing Technology was established in 2005 and got listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2021. The company is a manufacturer of pollution detection and environmental protection equipment.

In the first three quarters of 2022, Shijing Technology achieved operating revenue of RMB 1.04 billion, up by 114.96%.

Solarbe noticed that Shijing Technology is a major provider of pollution control equipment for solar manufacturers. The company has provided equipment for leading manufacturers like LONGi, Trina Solar, JA Solar, Jinko Solar, Canadian Solar, Risen Energy, etc.

As per the mid-year financial report of Shijing Technology, it has provided equipment for about 65 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity.
