On January 12, Mellow Energy announced the successful launch of the world’s largest integrated flexible perovskite photovoltaic (PV) module from its 100MW-scale production line. The module measures 1.2×1.6 square meters and weighs approximately 2.04 kilograms.
Flexible perovskite PV devices can be widely used in wearable devices, electric and autonomous vehicles, mobile energy systems, agricultural and environmental monitoring, remote sensing and the Internet of Things (IoT), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), thanks to their excellent photoelectric properties, light weight, bend and impact resistance, and strong low-light performance.
According to Mellow Energy, tests conducted by TÜV Rheinland, an internationally renowned testing and certification body, have confirmed that the 1.2×1.6-square-meter double-glass module achieves a full-area efficiency of 17.9% under standard testing conditions.
Mellow Energy has established a 100MW perovskite PV module production line in Zhengling (Sanxi) High-Tech Park, Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai City, and successfully produced the first module. The line primarily produces perovskite PV modules for large-scale ground stations and BIPV, and is also compatible with the production of indoor low-light modules and large-area flexible modules.
