Perovskite solar module manufacturer Mellow Energy has achieved a record-breaking 22.86% conversion efficiency on 30cm*30cm large-area perovskite solar modules. The result is certified by China’s National PV Industry Metrology Testing Center.
Building on the successes of achieving 20.79% and 21.50% conversion efficiency in June and August, Mellow Energy is pushing the boundaries of efficiency, setting the stage for the forthcoming 100 MW-level production line scheduled for 2024.
Third-party certifications of module stability and outdoor verification tests are underway.
The company rolled its first large-area (30cm×30cm) perovskite solar module off the pilot production line in March 2023.
Mellow Energy was founded in August 2022 and incubated by the New Energy Technology Research Institute of Jinan University. The company is led by Professor Mai Yaohua, the dean of the institute.
The company plans to complete the construction of the 100 MW large-area (1.2m*1.6m) perovskite module production line by mid-2024, with production commencing by year-end, targeting a 20% module conversion efficiency.
