Leading Solar Companies Respond to Price Increase in PV Modules

On February 25th, the market observed that several leading PV companies have raised their module prices.

The business leader at LONGi Green Energy told reporters that the company’s module prices have indeed increased, but specific prices could not be disclosed at this time.

Tongwei responded by stating that the company’s module prices are expected to rise, but the specific magnitude of the price increase cannot be disclosed at this moment.

Responsible individuals from Jinko Solar and Trina Solar responded by saying that their companies have increased PV module prices by a range of 0.01 to 0.03 yuan per watt.

Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration jointly issued the “Deepening the Market-Oriented Reform of New Energy Grid Parity Prices to Promote High-Quality Development of New Energy,” clarifying that a “division between old and new projects” will be implemented starting June 1, 2025. Old projects will continue to receive guaranteed-related electricity volume policies currently in place, while new projects will have their electricity volume determined by local authorities for inclusion in the “New Energy Sustainable Development Price Settlement Mechanism.” Influenced by this news, developers across the country have intensified their procurement of modules, thereby driving price increases.
