Jinko Power has signed a major agreement with Hunan Xinhua Hydropower, to develop 6 GW of residential distributed solar PV projects from 2024 to 2026. This partnership aims to boost renewable energy across several Chinese provinces.
The agreement outlines the following annual goals:
- 2024: At least 1 GW
- 2025: At least 2 GW
- 2026: 3 GW
The projects will span 11 provinces: Shanxi, Shaanxi, Anhui, Hunan, Hubei, Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Chongqing, Guangdong, and Guangxi.
Jinko Power stated that this deal aligns with their strategic goals for residential PV growth. By combining the strengths of both companies in funding, resources, technology, and management, the partnership aims to advance the development of residential PV projects.
Jinko Power, focused on the operation, transfer, and EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) of solar power stations, shares the same ultimate controlling shareholder with JinkoSolar. However, there are no equity control relationships between Jinko Power and JinkoSolar, despite their affiliation.
