Huasun Shines at Renewable Energy India 2024: Continuing the Legacy of Heterojunction Excellence

On October 3, 2024, the three-day Renewable Energy India (REI) 2024 event kicked off at the India Expo Centre. As a leader in heterojunction (HJT) solar sector, Huasun made a grand return to this prestigious annual exhibition, showcasing its top-tier Everest rectangular series and Himalaya series of wafers, cells, and modules.

India, a land of ancient traditions and mysteries, also boasts an unparalleled abundance of solar resources. Most regions enjoy 250 to 300 sunny days annually, with over 1,700 hours of sunshine, and annual solar radiation of 1,600-2,200 kWh/m², amounting to roughly 6 billion GWh of potential energy. According to market research firm Mercom Capital, India saw a solar installation boom in the first quarter of 2024, with a staggering 400% growth in installed capacity, solidifying its position as one of the fastest-growing photovoltaic (PV) markets in the world.

However, despite India’s exceptional solar potential and surging market, extreme heat poses significant challenges. High temperatures not only drive up electricity demand but also strain the stable operation of local PV projects. This burgeoning power market urgently requires efficient and reliable solar solutions.

Since entering the Indian market, Huasun’s high-efficiency Himalaya G12 series HJT modules have successfully obtained BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification, laying a solid foundation for the company’s continued expansion in India. This certification also provides strong assurance for local partners by offering efficient and dependable products.

At this year’s REI, Huasun has further optimized the temperature coefficient of its entire HJT product line to -0.24%/°C, directly addressing the challenge of India’s high temperatures. Acting as a robust shield, these modules ensure stable energy output even under extreme heat. Compared to the panels of other mainstream PV technologies, HJT modules exhibit less power degradation in high temperatures, delivering “cooler” green electricity to the hot, arid regions.

In addition to the improved temperature coefficient, Huasun introduced the 0BB (zero busbar) technology to India for the first time. Already integrated into the Everest G12R-132 and Himalaya G12-132 flagship modules, 0BB is one of the most advanced technologies in the PV sector. It offers multiple benefits like increased power generation, reduced silver consumption, and enhanced module reliability. Its seamless integration with HJT technology is paving the way for green energy in India and driving future energy development.

It is worth mentioning that as a major importer of traditional solar cells, India’s demand for high-efficiency HJT cells is growing rapidly. Huasun’s HJT cells, with their outstanding performance and high production capacity, are injecting fresh energy into the local renewable sector. With exceptional photoelectric conversion efficiency and consistent quality, Huasun’s products are gaining significant attention in India, meeting the country’s rising power demand while promoting the widespread adoption of renewable energy. This, in turn, is enhancing India’s global competitiveness in the clean energy sector and contributing to the country’s sustainable energy goals.

Huasun remains committed to its sacred mission of advancing green energy and is steadfastly moving forward in the market. With the strong collaboration between Huasun and its partners, India’s PV market is poised to flourish, like a lotus blooming along the Ganges, bringing new green hope to the world and composing a symphony that merges Indian culture with the power of technology.
