Global First GW-scale Perovskite PV Module Production Line Launched

On February 5th, UtmoLight successfully launched the world’s first GW-scale perovskite photovoltaic (PV) module production line, marking a new era for large-scale production of GW-class perovskite technology.

The GW-scale production line is capable of mass-producing ultra-large perovskite PV modules and innovative large-area BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic) products, with an annual output of approximately 1.8 million perovskite PV modules expected upon reaching full capacity.

It is reported that on November 5th, 2024, during the full-process integration phase of the GW-scale production line, the first 2.8-square-meter perovskite module rolled off the line with a power of 450W and a full-area efficiency of 16.1%, setting a global record for the largest area and highest power of perovskite PV modules.

With the gradual introduction of pilot processes, the production line’s technological level has continued to improve, with the 2025 mass production target aiming for an efficiency of 20%.
