India-based solar module producer Emmvee Group has entered into a tolling agreement with independent power producer Hero Future Energies (HFE) to supply up to 600 MWp of high-efficiency solar modules over two years.
This partnership is aimed at supporting HFE’s renewable energy projects across India.
The agreement comes as India seeks to reach its ambitious target of 500 GW of renewable energy by 2030.
Emmvee, a long-established player in the solar manufacturing sector with over 32 years of experience, will provide solar modules to HFE.
Srivatsan Iyer, Global CEO of HFE, commented on the strategic nature of the agreement, noting that it is designed to mitigate supply chain challenges and ensure a stable supply of high-quality modules. “This partnership helps us manage cost and supply-chain uncertainties and supports the timely completion of our projects,” said Iyer.
Rohit Dhar, COO of Emmvee, highlighted the importance of the agreement for the company. “This partnership represents a significant step for Emmvee and reflects our commitment to supporting large-scale renewable energy projects,” Dhar stated.
Emmvee Group, with over three decades in the solar industry, has a production capacity of up to 3 GW for solar modules and plans to expand with a 1.5 GW Topcon cell facility.
Hero Future Energies, part of the Hero Group, has a global portfolio of 4.5 GW of renewable energy assets and plans for significant growth in the coming years, including investments in solar, wind, energy storage, and green hydrogen.
