On the afternoon of November 22, organized by the Solar Photovoltaic Products Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, 22 leading domestic solar enterprises, including Trina Solar, Jinko Solar, JA Solar, LONGi, Tongwei, Suntech, Canadian Solar, GCL-SI, TCL Zhonghuan, Risen and Astronergy etc, voluntarily established the “Self-Regulation Committee for Foreign Trade Enterprises in the PV Industry” and held its inaugural working meeting to address the increasingly serious industrial status of hyper competition.
The purpose of signing the Self-Regulation Convention by the leading enterprises is to maintain export order and safeguard industry interests, rather than to implement restrictive measures. The Chamber advocates for enterprises to operate legally and compliantly overseas, eliminate unfair competition, and strive to jointly maintain the good international image of Chinese PV industry enterprises’ brands by establishing a “White List of PV Industry Exports” and a “Recommended List of High-Quality PV Industry Export Enterprises.”
Vice President Shi Yonghong summarized the meeting, emphasizing that the establishment of the Self-Regulation Committee aims to create a healthy competitive environment for PV enterprises going overseas, enhance the competitiveness of Chinese PV products in the global market, and promote the stable and sustainable development of the PV industry.
Representatives of the participating enterprises unanimously agreed that the platform of the Self-Regulation Committee can more effectively integrate industry resources, jointly address international trade barriers, and promote the formulation and implementation of industry standards. The representatives expressed their willingness to actively respond to the Self-Regulation Convention, strictly abide by the relevant rules in foreign trade, and jointly maintain the international image and market order of the Chinese PV industry.
