This marks Aiko’s latest addition to its PV module lineup, following its distributed ABC module products. The company has developed the “Polaris” and “Sirius” series to meet the specific needs of ground-mounted and floating solar applications.

With this release, Aiko’s ABC module products now cover major PV applications, forming a matrix of three product series: the “Stellar Series” for utility-scale applications, the “Comet Series” for commercial and industrial settings, and the “Neostar” for residential applications.

The “Stellar Series” modules boast a maximum power output of 640W, an efficiency rating up to 23.7%, and a bifaciality reaching 70%.

Aiko’s Vice General Manager, Xia Hengliang, highlighted the value of the new product in utility-scale scenarios and showcased the advantages in terms of levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) compared to TOPCon products.

Xia stated, “The Stellar Series, with its core features of partial shading optimization and temperature suppression, effectively mitigates issues such as module damage and power generation loss caused by adverse environmental conditions on both ground-mounted and water-based sites. This ensures enhanced performance and reliability throughout the lifecycle of the project, significantly increasing the total power generation and helping customers achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement.”

Furthermore, Xia disclosed that Aiko plans to develop more application-specific modules in the future, such as lightweight and small-sized modules.

Since 2023, Aiko’s ABC cell and module capacities, as well as its sales network, have been gradually expanding.

The company expects to complete the construction of the initial 10 GW annual capacity cell and module project in Zhuhai by the end of 2023, striving to achieve the completion and commissioning of the 15 GW annual capacity cell and module project in Yiwu.

After these projects are completed, Aiko will have a manufacturing capacity of 25 GW for ABC cells and modules.

Moreover, Aiko is actively expanding its domestic and international sales networks, exploring sales channels and customer resources, and establishing marketing channels through participation in domestic and international product exhibitions.

Chen Gang had previously stated that the shipment target for ABC modules throughout the year has been adjusted to approximately 2-3 GW.

It is worth noting that Aiko’s previous ABC module products were mainly distributed in the European market, with a focus on residential and commercial applications. The recently unveiled module products are primarily targeted at the domestic market and come with a certain premium.
