Chinese solar wafer producer Zhonghuan Semiconductor updated the latest quotes last night on their all sizes wafers, with the 218.2mm (10.85W) size wafer revealed first time.
The launch of 218 size is to meet customers’ higher power requirements for products of the same size, according to the executives of the company. The update also includes quotes for 150um and 160um to contribute in cost reduction and efficiency, since 210 wafer has been progressing and developed into mass production. The 210mm price fell RMB 0.55 (USD 0.0863) QoQ.

Industry giant Longi also lowered its prices for relevant products on Tuesday, and the prices of silicon materials and modules are expected to decline.
