The dialogue session

Jianlong Yu delivered a speech during the session and pointed out that the dialogue fully reflected the great importance attached by the Chinese and Australian business circles to energy conservation, emission reduction and green development. He advocated the whole community to actively explore cooperation in green energy and other fields and make contributions to promoting stronger, greener and healthier global development.

Simon Li said that “Australia has unique lighting advantages and is suitable for the development of microgrid and photovoltaic hydrogen production projects. Over the years, Trina Solar has continuously promoted the development of industry and technology through continuous innovation. It is a practitioner, contributor and leader of the energy revolution. Trina Solar hopes to work with all parties to jointly promote Australia’s energy transformation and help realize carbon neutrality.”

According to Lee, Trina Solar was rated as the most popular solar module brand in Australia as early as 2012. In 2017, the company won the bid for one of the largest local power plant projects – 100 MW Clare solar project in Queensland. The project is the first large-scale ground solar power plant in Australia that does not rely on government financial support and operates entirely by virtue of commercial power purchase agreement, which is a milestone in the development of solar power plants in Australia. In 2019, Trina Solar’s modules were applied at Brisbane Airport, with an installed capacity of 5.725 MW.

Since early in 2019, Trina Solar has established a professional localized power station development and investment team in Australia to provide customers and partners with turnkey photovoltaic system solutions including development, financing, design, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance with rich overseas project experience.
