Chinese solar PV module manufacturer Trina Solar recently joined forces with Danish integrated logistics company Maersk Group and signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province on October 29.
The two sides held communication meeting and strategic cooperation signing ceremony, with Gao Jifan, Chairman and CEO of Trina Solar, and Wu Bingqing, President of Maersk Greater China, attended and witnessed the signing of the agreement.
The agreement lasts for three years and covers areas such as long-term shipping agreements and end-to-end distribution across the region, integrated global warehousing cooperation, and logistics visualization. The two sides actively discussed the construction of multi-dimensional cooperation, saying that by arranging logistics and warehousing facilities in advance, and building a global supply chain network, they will jointly provide global customers with efficient and fast delivery channels, as well as stable, high-quality, and more competitive products and solutions.
Gao Jifan said that the company has raised logistics to a strategic level and needs to stay ahead in all aspects, while Maersk is an important partner of Trina Solar in its globalization and looks forward to in-depth cooperation between the two sides. He hoped they could improve the level of logistics management, better improve the flexibility and resilience of the supply chain, to support business needs and achieve sustainable development.

Wu Bingqing also introduced the future development plan of Maersk and its determination to develop integrated logistics on the meeting, as well as their recognition of Trina Solar’s development. She said that Maersk will try their best to understand customer needs and help them complete the global layout and build the resilience of the supply chain, which has been the ultimate goal of Maersk.

Cao Bo, Executive Vice President of Trina Solar, also gave a brief introduction of the development vision and strong demand of photovoltaics in the next few years. Meanwhile, he stressed the huge container shipping logistics integration strength and growth potential in photovoltaic industry, which would bring plentiful benefits to their cooperation.
