Standards Australia is the only standard setting agency designated by the Australian Federal Government. Only the photovoltaic modules and inverters that meet Australian standards (AS/NZS 4777 and AS/NZS 5033) can be used for photovoltaic system design and installation, and the only approved product list is updated by the Clean Energy Council. The new version of AS/NZS 4777.2 was released on December 18, 2020, starting a 12-month transition period. All listings under the old version will expire on December 18, 2021. After that, inverters tested to the 2015 version will no longer be eligible for listing.

This time, SOFAR PV grid-tied Inverter that obtained the new Australian standard certification is SOFAR 3-6KTLM-G2, with a power range of 3-6kW. It is mainly developed and designed for household power stations, has a stylish and lightweight body, the efficiency up to 98.2% as well as functions like built-in sound & light alarm, anti-countercurrent, I-V curve intelligent scanning, IP65 protection level, etc. Besides, it is equipped with rich monitoring modes supporting RS485, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, GPRS, etc. so that users can realize remote monitoring flexibly and conveniently. At present, this series of models has been widely used in more than 80 countries and has been highly recognized by customers. This time, it is the first to obtain the new Australian standard certification, which gives local users richer choices of inverters.

With the maturity of technology and the reduction of installation costs, it has driven the development of the entire market. Solar power generation has become Australia’s second largest power generation method after coal power generation. According to statistics, about 30% of Australian households have installed photovoltaic systems on their roofs. In Queensland, this proportion is as high as 42%. Today, the Australian photovoltaic market has entered the best era, and SOFARSOLAR will continue to introduce reliable, stable and intelligent photovoltaic storage products to the Australian market, hoping that more users can enjoy the green life brought about by clean energy.
