On October 29 local time in Colombia, PowerChina signed the EPC contract for the Colombia Las Marias solar PV project with Las Marias public service company.
The project is located in Cauca Department in southwest Colombia, with a total installed capacity of 109.2 MW. The project mainly includes the design, procurement, construction, commissioning, trial operation and grid-connected power generation of the solar farm, booster station and overhead line.
The project is PowerChina’s first large-scale solar EPC project in Colombia, marking a breakthrough after years of hard work in the renewable energy field. It is said to be of great significance to the company’s further development in Latin American.
