On Tuesday, Huayang New Material Technology Group (SH:600348), a new material manufacturer in China, told investors about the company’s engagement in the solar PV industry through module manufacturing.
Shanxi Xinyang Clean Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huayang, started the construction of a 5GW high-efficiency PV module production base in Weibo High-tech Park in Yangquan City, Shanxi Province in February.
The project covers an area of about 0.24 km2, with a total estimated investment of 1.097 billion yuan.
The production base is expected to be put into operation in early 2022.
