N-type TOPCon accelerates photovoltaic industry upgrade: JinkoSolar

Representatives of JinkoSolar attended the 17th China SoG Silicon and PV Power Conference (17th CSPV) held in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province yesterday and gave an emphasis on their n-type products.

The event is one of the most important academic conferences on silicon materials and photovoltaic power generation in the country, which aims to expand the cutting-edge technology and dynamic exchange of photovoltaic industry and enhance the core competitiveness of photovoltaic enterprises.

Yu Hanbo, Global Product Manager of JinkoSolar made a speech on N-type TOPCon – System Adaptation and Technical Advantages of Next-Gen Module. He also talked about how to lead the industry to n-type upgrade with their latest progress of n-type TOPCon.

“The Tiger Neo series products can flexibly meet different application scenarios such as large-scale ground power station, industrial and commercial and residential distributed projects, with first year degradation of less than 1%, and 30 years of power warranty. The n-type low temperature coefficient can effectively reduce the high-temperature loss, which can increase the power generation income by about 2% compared with p-type products in high-temperature areas, and the bifaciality can reach 85%,” said Yu.

The company has been constantly breaking the n-type cell efficiency records during the year, achieved a breakthrough production efficiency of 24.5% of TOPCon cell, promoted the industrial application of innovative technologies, and led the industry n-type upgrading.

Dr. Jin Jingsheng, R&D research fellow of JinkoSolar mainly talked about product innovation and technological progress of mass production n-type TOPCon cell at the event. He said that the company has formulated a clear development route of n-type TOPCon technology, with the efficiency expected to exceed 25% in the next stage. They have also been focusing on cost reduction of key materials, core processes optimization and industry specifications improvement, so as to promote the refinement of mass production products and lead the upgrade of n-type in the industry.
