LONGi ranks 42th on Fortune China Future 50

Chinese solar giant Longi Green Energy Technology today announced its 42th ranking among the Future 50 of the recently released Fortune China 2021, as the the highest ranked photovoltaic enterprise in the list.

The list was jointly created by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Fortune Magazine. It mainly evaluates the long-term growth prospects of the world’s largest listed companies according to future potential indicators and signals. It aims to supplement traditional performance indicators to reflect the company’s growth potential.

Fortune magazine pointed out that the value of “vitality” will be revealed sooner or later, but not always in the short term. Facing the threat and challenge brought by COVID-19, enterprises that create opportunities can be more resilient. They can not only resolve the impact, but also adapt to changing environment and thrive in the new environment. Among them, the renewable energy companies represented by Longi perform well in the 2021 list, which also shows that people are increasingly concerned about sustainable development.

Fortune Magazine also announced the selection criteria for the world’s top 50 in the future, including a top-down, market-based assessment of a company’s potential, and the bottom-up analysis of its ability to achieve growth. In the past year, Longi not only adhered to steady operation and sustainable development, but also maintained high-intensity R&D investment and always focused on future scientific and technological development.

In 2021, the company refreshed the world record for cell efficiency for seven times and led the industrial development with technological innovation. It also has been expanding PV-complementary application scenarios, actively planning hydrogen energy business and helping in in-depth decarbonization.
