Install 20 GW new energy in Xinjiang in 5 years: CHD

Representative of state-owned enterprise China Huadian Corporation (CHD) said to invest RMB 100 billion in increasing the installation capacity of new energy by 20 GW in Xinjiang during the 14th Five Year Plan period to build a national clean energy base, at the recently held Working Conference of Central Enterprises on Aid to Xinjiang.


During the 14th Five Year Plan period, CHD will focus on promoting the construction of 10 GW clean energy base project in Yarkant River in southern Xinjiang, actively promote the flexibility, energy conservation and consumption reduction, environmental protection upgrading and transformation of existing coal motor units, and provide green energy guarantee for promoting the improvement of people’s livelihood and rural revitalization in the area.

CHD will also cooperate with central enterprises, local state-owned assets and key private enterprises to jointly promote the coordinated development of new energy, hydrogen energy industry, solid waste utilization and manufacturing base.
