China’s National Energy Administration (NEA) had given a reply on August 11 on policy consultation on the combination of distributed photovoltaic power generation project and charging station project.
NEA’s official website recently has received consultation request on whether there can be an effective combination of photovoltaic access and charging station power supply, so as to realize powering the charging station with photovoltaic and form the mode of “self-sufficiency and surplus transferred to grid”, or implement complete self-consumption.
According to NEA, distributed photovoltaic power generation is an important strategic emerging industry in China. Vigorously promoting the application of photovoltaic power generation is of great strategic significance to optimize the energy structure, improve the ecological environment and change the mode of urban and rural energy consumption. It is an important measure to promote steady growth, adjust structure, promote reform and benefit people’s livelihood.
NEA fully supported the mode of “self-sufficiency and surplus transferred to grid”, which can improve the power consumption structure and promote the development of people’s livelihood, as well as the realization of complete self-consumption through advanced power consumption optimization control means.
