Chinese Premier Li Keqiang attended the opening ceremony of the Taiyuan Energy Low Carbon Development Forum 2021 by video on September 3, delivered a keynote speech and announced the opening of the forum.
He reiterated China’s dual carbon goals and suggested that the international community increase the proportion of non fossil energy. The state has repeatedly stressed that it will promote the development of non fossil energy with photovoltaic as the main form and help China achieve the dual carbon goals as soon as possible
Li Keqiang put forward suggestions to reasonably promote clean energy utilization and low-carbon transformation in a scientific spirit and pragmatic attitude
Li added that all countries should respect and apply science, steadily and orderly, and do their best to promote the transformation of energy consumption and production mode. We should control the total amount and give priority to energy conservation; Adjust the structure and increase the proportion of non fossil energy in primary energy consumption; Pay attention to innovation, strengthen scientific research cooperation, technology transfer and achievement popularization of clean energy, as well as update ideas, advocate a new fashion of green and low-carbon production and life, and build a green and low-carbon society in which everyone can do and participate.
