Canadian Solar joins hands with China Energy in photovoltaic and energy storage

On October 12, 2021, Canadian Solar signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Energy Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd. Zhuang Yan, President of Canadian Solar and Cai Yuanzong, deputy general manager of China Energy Jiangsu Electric Power signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. The Intellectual and Green Energy Committee of the Alumni Association of Tsinghua University in Jiangsu Province witnessed the signing of the contract.


Dr. Qu Xiaohua, chairman and CEO of Canadian Solar, and Li Wei, Party Secretary and chairman of Jiangsu Electric Power attended the signing ceremony and the two sides had in-depth exchanges and reached consensus on deepening strategic cooperation.

According to the agreement, based on the principle of “equality and mutual benefit, resource sharing, complementary advantages and win-win development”, the two sides will jointly take national carbon goals as the guide, promote the construction of a new power system with new energy as the main body, give full play to their respective advantages in photovoltaic, energy storage and other fields, and carry out comprehensive cooperation in project development, construction and operation.


The signing of this comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement will certainly lay a good foundation for the development of both sides. It is believed that through sincere cooperation, mutual benefit and common development, both sides will produce fruitful results and contribute to the realization of the national double carbon goal.
