CRRC shipped 4 GW solar inverters in five years, 10 GW more to come

On November 23, CRRC Corporation Limited (CRRC) told investors that the company has shipped 8000 sets of inverters with a capacity of 4 GW since it started producing solar inverters in 2009. This year, the company has launched a new concentrated model 3.X MW and string inverters.

It is worth noting that early this month, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology of Qinghai, a province in western China, announced that it had signed a zero-carbon intelligent industrial park project cooperation agreement with Zhuzhou CRRC Times Electric Co., Ltd.

With 1 billion yuan planned investment, the project is expected to complete construction in 3 years. The project includes an intelligent equipment industrial base, a technology innovation base and a “zero carbon” full life cycle service center.

It is planned to produce 10 GW of solar inverters, energy storage systems, and wind power converters, etc. annually. The production capacity is designed to cover the demand for inverters in Haixi’s solar power projects in the next 10 years.
