Beijing Jingneng invests 7 billion in 1 GW wind, solar projects

Beijing Jingneng Clean Energy Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Beijing Energy Holding Co., Ltd (BEH) yesterday announced its commissioning of the 500 MW wind and photovoltaic power generation hydrogen production project in Abaga Banner and the 500 MW wind energy power generation project in Sunit Left Banner in Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.


These projects have obtained relevant approval documents and are expected to be completed by the end of 2023, with a total investment of about RMB 7 billion yuan and a total installed capacity of about 1 GW.

The two projects are both equipped with 75 MW/150 MWh energy storage project, and the estimated annual power generation is about 1.25 billion kWh and 1.53 billion kWh respectively.

The Abaga Banner project also includes 10 MW wind power used for hydrogen production, which is expected to reach an annual production of 7.3 million m3.
