Hindustan Power to InvestĀ 6.2 Billion in Renewable Energy in Assam

Hindustan Power Limited has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Assam state government to invest INR 6.2 billion in the state’s renewable energy capacity.

According to the statement, the company plans to invest INR 5 billion in constructing a 100-megawatt (MW) solar power plant and INR 1.2 billion in building a 100-MW battery energy storage system. This move aligns with Hindustan Power’s goal of achieving a 5-gigawatt energy portfolio within the next three years.

The projects will be developed in collaboration with the Assam state government and are expected to generate over 5,000 man-days of employment.
