Longi Appoints Former GCL-SI Chairmanas VP for North America

Longi has announced a senior management change, with Eric Luo, the former chairman of GCL System Integration, joining Longi as its vice president. Luo will oversee the North American market.

Eric Luo, on behalf of Longi, attended the APEC CEO Chapter

Eric Luo, a Canadian national born in September 1965, holds an MBA from the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management from Zhejiang Gongshang University. He also possesses an Independent Director Qualification Certificate from the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

After joining GCL Group in September 2017, Luo served as vice president of GCL New Energy and president of GCL North America, as well as general manager and director of GCL-SI. In November 2018, he was appointed chairman of GCL-SI, a position he resigned from in March 2021.

Currently, Eric Luo serves as vice president and president of Longi’s North American region, reporting directly to Zhong Baoshen, chairman of Longi. His focus will be on enhancing Longi’s revenue, channel competitiveness, and deepening its influence in the North American market.

Longi has placed significant emphasis on developing its North American business. While China has traditionally been one of Longi’s most significant revenue regions, the company’s overseas presence has been growing, with North America being a key focus area. Despite facing trade barriers such as high tariffs and fluctuating green energy policies, Longi has managed to maintain a steady export volume and gross margin in the Americas.
