India’s Largest Floating Solar Plant Shines with Sineng Electric’s Support

India’s Omkareshwar Floating Solar Power Park, Phase I, located in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, shines brightly atop a dam reservoir. With the efficient operation of Sineng Electric’s centralized inverters, green energy flows amidst the rippling waves, infusing immense potential and hope into the local energy transition.

According to the Press Information Bureau of India, the Omkareshwar Floating Solar Power Park has a total planned capacity of 600MW, making it the largest floating solar park in India to date. Addressing the unique and compslex hot and humid environment, Sineng Electric provided a centralized PV inverter solution equipped with rigorous IP65 protection and exceptional corrosion resistance.

Now, Phase I has been officially connected to the grid for over five months, expected to generate 196.5GWh of clean electricity annually, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 230,000 tonnes while minimizing daily water evaporation, enhancing residents’ quality of life in multiple dimensions.
