Solar & Storage Live UK took place at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, known as the “City of a Thousand Trades”, attracting over 500 professional exhibitors and more than 30,000 industry visitors from September 24-26, 2024. Huasun Energy showcased its high-efficiency heterojunction (HJT) product portfolio—the G12 and G12R series—once again highlighting its cutting-edge technology and exceptional craftsmanship.
Everest G12R-96 HJT Module: Aesthetic Excellence for Rooftops
Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) data indicates that by the end of 2023, the UK’s cumulative solar capacity reached 17.25 GW, reflecting a strong growth trend in recent years, particularly in the residential solar PV sector. According to the UK government, over 1.2 million residential rooftops had solar installations by the end of last year.
In response to the residential market’s needs, Huasun has launched several specialized HJT products. Among them, the Everest series G12R-96 HJT rectangular module stands out for its superior performance and cost-effectiveness, making it a top choice for European residential rooftops.
Notably, the G12R-96 transparent black lightweight module showcased at the event enhances the aesthetic appeal of residential buildings while reducing rooftop load, seamlessly blending beauty and functionality. This innovative design is expected to meet the UK market’s demand for efficient, high-yield, and visually appealing residential solar systems.
Huasun Heterojunction: Unparalleled Reliability
The UK, surrounded by seas and characterized by a temperate maritime climate, experiences highly variable weather conditions and relatively high humidity. These unique geographical and climatic factors necessitate greater stability and durability from solar systems. While continuously improving the efficiency of its cells, Huasun’s R&D team has also prioritized enhancing the reliability of its modules.
All of Huasun’s HJT modules are encapsulated with PIB butyl rubber, known for its excellent airtightness and adhesion, having successfully passed rigorous environmental aging tests that demonstrate outstanding reliability. Additionally, the innovative use of light conversion film contributes to long-term stability and profitability for solar projects.
As a leader in the HJT industry, Huasun introduced its zero busbar (0BB) HJT technology this year to address the global demand for high-efficiency, high-reliability, and high-stability photovoltaic modules. The 0BB design increases the cell’s irradiated area, enhancing light conversion efficiency. Furthermore, the welding-before-lamination process used in the 0BB modules ensures superior ribbon adhesion and improved resistance to hot spots. Test results indicate that Huasun’s 0BB modules outperform conventional SMBB modules under extreme conditions, highlighting the company’s product reliability and research capabilities.
Accelerating Global Expansion: Advancing the Zero-Carbon Future
As 2024 enters its fourth quarter, Huasun is accelerating its global expansion. With its premium HJT products and services, Huasun has delivered over 7 GW of HJT products worldwide, contributing to the goal of a zero-carbon future.
During the exhibition, Huasun’s UK partner, Solartricity, highlighted the advantages of HJT technology, including high efficiency, high energy yield, and exceptional reliability. This technology has gained wide recognition and received positive feedback from local installers and end users, making Huasun’s HJT products increasingly popular in the UK rooftop solar market.
Criss Jin, General Manager of the Overseas Sales & Marketing Center at Huasun, stated, “The potential of the European solar market, especially in the UK, is immense. Huasun will remain steadfast in continuously improving cell efficiency and product performance, providing global customers with superior HJT products and solutions, and together creating a new blueprint for the global solar industry.”
