China-based solar module manufacturer, Seraphim Energy, has recently inked a solar module supply agreement with Malaysia-based ERS Energy Group. The deal, signed on June 21, 2023, entails the supply of high-efficiency solar modules for ERS Group’s 300 MW ground-mounted system located in Zambales Province, Philippines.
Under the terms of the agreement, Seraphim will commence the module supply in the third quarter of 2023 and complete it by the second quarter of 2024.
The supplied products primarily consist of 550/555W high-efficiency modules that incorporate multi-busbar cell technology and high-density encapsulation, which are believed to offer reduced internal losses and a decreased risk of micro cracks, resulting in enhanced power generation performance and lower Balance of System (BOS) costs.
Insan Boy, Vice President of Global Sales at Seraphim, expressed confidence in the collaboration with ERS Group, stating, “We believe that our close collaboration with ERS Group will help us achieve our sustainable development goals in clean energy and bring positive impacts to the economy, environment, and social development of the Philippines and the local communities.”
ERS Group, an engineering, procurement, and construction service provider headquartered in Malaysia, has previously collaborated with Seraphim on various power station projects. Jonathan Kan, Managing Director of ERS Group, praised Seraphim’s module quality and performance, reaffirming their commitment to jointly promote the development of the solar energy market in the Philippines.
Over the years, Seraphim has developed multiple series of photovoltaic products and smart solutions tailored to various application scenarios. Seraphim boasts an extensive portfolio of over a hundred technology patents, and its 20-gigawatt photovoltaic products have been successfully implemented in more than 100 countries and regions globally, said the company in a statement.
