Despite the skyrocketing prices of high-purity quartz sand, TCL Zhonghuan has decided to keep its p-type wafer prices unchanged. This decision was reflected in the company’s latest wafer price updates, released on Monday. Additionally, the thickness of n-type wafers has been reduced to 130μm and 110μm.
P-type wafer prices:
182 mm, 150μm thickness: $0.792/piece
210 mm, 150μm thickness: $1.044/piece
218.2 mm, 150μm thickness: $1.127/piece
N-type wafer prices:
182 mm, 130μm thickness: $0.814/piece
210 mm, 130μm thickness: $1.063/piece
182 mm, 110μm thickness: $0.781/piece
210 mm, 110μm thickness: $1.021/piece
Despite the scarcity and skyrocketing prices of high-purity quartz sand, TCL Zhonghuan has managed to keep the price of its p-type wafers stable. This indicates an improvement in Zhonghuan’s supply chain management and stable procurement prices for polysilicon. It also reflects Zhonghuan’s determination to sacrifice part of its profits to benefit downstream customers.
Zhonghuan’s customer-centric behavior can provide non-integrated enterprises with higher profit margins, enhance market competitiveness, and break the control of integrated enterprises over market share.
