The solar project invested by TCL’s photovoltaic sector has started construction today. The project, located in south China’s Guangdong Province, is a distributive power station with the volume of 5.96 MW.
It will be a landmark project for the development of local renewable energy by composing BIPV/BAPV, providing a reference for more plants to carry out green and low-carbon transformation.
TCL has laid out the whole photovoltaic industry chain. Since its establishment, the company has continued to strengthen its market competitiveness in EPC construction, power station operation and maintenance, and provide customized turnkey clean energy system solutions according to the needs of industrial and commercial users, so to achieve green development.
According to the person in charge of the project, it is totally invested with more than RMB 20 million. Solar modules will be placed on the roofs of five buildings, totaling 60,000 square meters. They are designed to operate for 25 years, and it is expected to be completed by June.
The project adopts TCL photovoltaic integrated product scheme, improving the power generation efficiency by more than 1.5%.
The electricity is generated for self-consumption, of which the surplus will be connected to the grid. Expectantly, it could generate 6.12 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, saving RMB 994,000 on electricity bills.
The completion of the project will play an important role in promoting the local green and low-carbon development of Huizhou City, and effectively improve the economic benefits of electricity consumption.
