LONGi Green Energy announced on Tuesday it has signed an investment agreement to build a 100 GW mono wafer facility and a 50 GW mono cell facility in Xixian New Area, a development zone in Northwest China’s Shaanxi province.
The agreement has been signed with the management committees of the new area.
In line with LONGi’s production capacity plans, the project is expected to give the company’s leading technology and product advantages to full play, while improving its production capacity and market competitiveness, said LONGi in a statement.
By the end of 2021, LONGi had 105 GW production capacities for wafer, 37 GW for cell and 60 GW for module.
It is estimated that by the end of 2022, the numbers will haved reached 150 GW, 60 GW and 85 GW.
