Chinese polysilicon supplier Tongwei Solar has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Blue Sun Group, one of the largest distributors of renewable energy products in Australia on an online cooperation meeting held on December 22 to jointly boost Australian market.
The two sides had an in-depth discussion on the development of solar industry in Australia and reached consensus that solar is the most powerful driving force in the context of global energy and economic transformation.
During the signing, Tongwei Solar proposed to supply 100 MW of high efficient half-cut modules to local market in 2023, with TW-182-54 series modules as the main production.
Vivian Zheng, one of the founders of Blue Sun Group recognized the signing and expressed her expectations of cooperating with Tongwei Solar. “Blue Sun Group is committed to becoming a leader in solar distribution in Australia and has accumulated a wealth of operational strength after 17 years of development. We look forward to working with Tongwei and bringing more excellent solutions to Australian photovoltaic market,” said Zheng.
Joe Chen, Head of Business of Tongwei Solar Asia Pacific, also showed their resolution to contribute to the cooperation. “As a leader in the industry, Tongwei has a strong vertical integration production capacity, resource strength and mature and advanced module cutting-edge production technology. We will provide the market with the best reliable modules for all application scenarios, as well as quality service throughout the whole life cycle of products.”
In 2022, Tongwei Solar has accumulated 14 GW of module capacity, together with the announced newly added 66 GW, the total annual production in 2023 could reach 80 GW. The company’s “TNC” high-efficiency modules have been put into mass production to further meet the growing demand for clean energy from customers around the world.
