Wetex, organized by DEWA, began on Monday at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center.
The three-day exhibition displays a model of the DEWA sustainable building – AL SHERAA.
To be located in cultural village in AL JADAF, it will be DEWA’s new headquarters.
Arabic for sale, SHERAA, is a major element of the UAE’s heritage, and a symbol of sustainability.
Covering over 200,000 square feet, it will be the tallest, largest and smartest government zero energy building in the world on competition.
With 20,000 square meters of solar panels, the building will generate over 6,500 MW/h of renewable energy each year.
