China’s National Energy Administration Director Zhang Jianhua made a keynote speech, said that China is ready to work with other countries to make full use of the belt and road energy partnership platform, deepen all-round cooperation in the energy sector, and contribute more to the inclusive recovery of the world economy. China will continue to deepen cooperation with other countries in green energy strategy, planning, policies and standards, carry out cooperation in energy technology innovation, and strengthen capacity-building and technical assistance in the field of green energy. At the same time, China will provide green energy technical assistance to relevant countries as needed to provide more support for the rapid development of green energy in various countries.
Director-general of International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) said that although the pandemic outbreak led to the slowing of global economic growth, the global renewable energy capacity growth remains more than expected growth in 2020, and hit a record high. We hope to promote renewable energy global energy transformation, complemented by green hydrogen and sustainable biomass, and work with all member states, institutions and stakeholders to move towards a carbon-neutral future.
Chen Xiaohua, member of the Standing Committee of the Party committee and deputy general manager of China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited, pointed out that we should provide forward-looking, systematic, innovative and effective energy solutions based on the latest pattern and new trend of world energy development and resources and industries of each partner country.
Chen Xiaohua stressed that we should strengthen the supporting and leading role of scientific and technological innovation in the development of new power system, low-carbon development of traditional power, green development in engineering construction and sustainable development of ecological environment, deeply promote the integration of industry and technology and Industry and information, and accelerate the development of digital industrialization and industry digitization.
According to Sinopec’s plan, it is necessary to build a number of world-class refining and chemical integration bases, and the average scale of a single plant will reach more than 10 million tons/year by 2025. A total of 1,000 hydrogenation stations or oil hydrogen mixing stations and 5,000 charging and replacement power stations will be built, 50 million square meters of medium and deep geothermal heating area will be added, and the new energy supply capacity will strive to reach 10 million tons of standard coal.
