Chinese PV module manufacturer Risen Energy recently confirmed to the investors that it has set up the production line and completed the shipment of 182mm size modules.
The move absorbed strong attention from the industry since the company has been a firm promoter of the 210mm size module. Many assumed that it might be a sign of Risen to set its feet into the 182mm Camp.
Reporter from Solarbe conducted a phone call to a senior executive of Risen Energy regarding this issue and was replied. He said that “Risen Energy has always been a firm technology practitioner of 210mm size. The reason for recent shipment of 182mm size modules resulted from the overly media coverage of such modules, which intrigued our customers. The small batch production based on customer demand was only for comparison of 182mm and 210mm size modules.”
“Risen Energy has always been committed to providing every customer with the optimal solution of power consumption cost based on 210mm size modules. By comparison, the two overseas customers realized the advantages of 210 modules in cost reduction, and further added 2 GW orders with us,” the executive added.
